The detached phrase (独立语 dúlìyǔ) is structurally not related to any other part of the sentence in which it appears. It is often used to express a subjective point of view or attitude, to make a speculation, assessment, explanation, or illustration, or to call attention to something. The detached phrases may be palced at the beginning or in the middle of a sentence. For example:

Dàjiā dōu zhīdào, shúnéngshēngqiǎo. 大家 都 知道， 熟能生巧。 As we all know, practice makes perfect. |

Yìbānláishuō, shēnghuó shì bù róngyì de. 一般来说， 生活 是 不 容易 的。 Generally speaking, life is not easy. |

Nǐ yào jìzhù tā, zhòngyàodeshì, zhèngquè lǐjiě tā. 你 要 记住 它，重要的是， 正确 理解 它。 You should remember it,and what's more, get it right. |

Wǒkàn, wǒmen děi huàn fāng'àn le. 我看， 我们 得 换 方案 了。 I think we have to change a plan. |
