In modern Chinese, a comparative sentence can be used to compare the nature, degree and height of something. It has many forms. Now we are going to study the comparative structures with 比. 现代汉语中，比较事物性质、程度高低的差别，可以用比较句。比较句有很多种形式，现在我们学带有“比”字的比较结构。 |
1. Basic structure基本结构:

Zhègefángjiān bǐ nàgefángjiān dà. 这个房间 比 那个房间 大。 This room is bigger than that one. |

Píngguǒ bǐ xiāngjiāo guì. 苹果 比 香蕉 贵。 Apples are more expensive than bananas. |
2.In order to explain how different are two things, sometimes the components of 一点儿 (a little), 一些 (some), 得多 (much more), 多了 (more) can be added after an adjective. For example:
有时为了说明两者之间的差别有多大，可以在形容词后加上“一点儿、一些、得多、多了”等成分。如：
