Splendid China is a tourist area in Shenzhens Chinese Overseas Town and is located at the scenic Shenzhen Bay. It is the biggest and richest live-micro scenery tourist site in the world today. It takes up an area of 300, 000 square meters.

　 The scenic spots of “Splendid China” are organized according to their geographical position in China. The entire garden looks like a giant map of China. These spots may be divided into three main groups: ancient architecture, folk customs, and landscapes. Over 50,000 little ceramic men are placed in the various scenic spots.

Over here are miniature displays of two of the worlds eight wonders, the Great Wall of China and the Qin Mausoleums soldiers and horses. Other unique and first of their kind places in China exhibited in miniature include the worlds oldest stone arch bridge（Zhaozhou Bridge）， the astrono-mical observatory （the ancient observatory）， the wooden tower（Yingxian Wooden Tower）， the worlds biggest palace（ the Forbidden City）.

Splendid China provides a fascinating window into Chinese history. It turns out to be not only a window onto Chinese history, culture and tourism, but is also a world of greenery, flowers and beauty.

Then we come to the Chinese Folk Culture Village, which is separated by a wall and stands beside Splendid China. The China Folk Culture Village covers an area of more than 200,000 square meters. It is Chinas first large-scale cultural tourist attraction consisting of different folk art, customs, and architecture, including 25 villages of 22 ethnic nationalities built according to a l: 1 proportion. The Chinese Folk Culture Village takes as its building motto, “from every day life, higher than every day life; gather the quintessence with careful selection”. This reflects Chinas varied and colorful folk culture from several different perspectives.
